Boston-based Consultancy Records Record Growth and Sees Significant Adoption of Its Business-Focused Methodology, Catapult
Waltham, Mass – April 17, 2006 - Ascend Consulting, a leading business and IT consultancy and founder of the Catapult™ methodology, has recently celebrated its fifth anniversary in business and concluded it with a number of significant customer wins, revenue growth and personnel hires.
Most recently, Ascend was recognized as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the Boston area with a near 126 percent revenue growth since 2003. With the most recent year ending with $10.3 million in total revenues, this marks the fifth consecutive year of positive growth for the organization. With its recent success and adoption rate of its Catapult methodology within the financial services and insurance markets, Ascend has positioned itself for continued growth in the future.

The company has also brought on a number of new employees over the past year, including its new Practice Director of Catapult Services, Rich Highland and Tom Gardner who will serve as Director of Operations. Rich Highland brings 20 years of consulting experience to Ascend. Prior to his appointment, Rich was with Open Pages Software and Akamai Technologies, where he managed consulting teams delivering needs analysis and software implementation services to customers in the US, Europe and Japan. Tom Gardner brings over 12 years of business, IT and consulting experience to Ascend. Prior to joining Ascend, Tom was the information officer for Boston Capital, a real estate investment and financing firm, providing vision and leadership for developing and implementing IT initiatives across the organization.
