DESIGN PHASE PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE MODELING
After identifying high-level functional and technical requirements in the alignment phase, we move into the design phase. Here specifications extend the requirements traceability matrix created in the alignment phase. Proof-of-concepts are utilized, and the size and scope of the development effort is confirmed.
Catapult deliverables in this phase include rapid prototyping, logical and physical data modeling, data mapping and data sourcing, provision of a systems architecture and interface architecture, and the creation of detailed technical specifications. We also outline the infrastructure environment, security model, and initial test data planning.
